Comments from Kerrie Allen

My name is Kerrie Allen. I had the opportunity to observe some of Janey’s art work and was very impressed by what I had seen. I approached her about doing a caricature of my husband for his 40th birthday. He has played hockey most of his life and we decided to go with this theme. Janey suggested putting a red 40 as the goal light and my husband standing in goal with 40 pucks in the net. She went to the library and researched goaltenders before she started the picture. I was very impressed with the results.

Janey also did a picture of my son when he was in grade six. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. She not only captured exactly what he looked like, she even managed to duplicate his personality.

I would not hesitate to recommend Janey to anyone wanting portraits painted. Whether they be serious portraits or for fun, I’m sure you will be pleased with her finished product.

Comments from Abe Reimer

My name is Abe Reimer. Janey did a caricature of me in 2003 when I was
elected as the President of the Electrical Contractors Association of
Alberta. I was also going on a business trip to Switzerland so the ECAA
presented me with the Swiss hat, suspenders and shorts. Janey captured
exactly what I looked like without me knowing that she was doing a
portrait of me. I would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone
wanting a portrait, she is extremely talented.
